In 2011 Sonia took on the role of Rock Choir leader, directing choirs in Aldridge, Birmingham, Lichfield, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield. Rock Choir is a 'national phenomen' which took off in 2005 in Farnham. It’s all about singing, fun, community, friendship and life-changing experiences! Locally the choirs have performed at Solihull Arts Complex, Tamworth Assembly Rooms, Victoria Square Birmingham, Symphony Hall with Toyah Wilcox, Lichfield Fuse Festival, The Mac Theatre, The NEC and The Elgar Concert Hall to name a few. The choirs have also been further afield performing nationally at Liverpool Echo Arena, Wembley Stadium, Proms in the Park and Car Fest North, and have also recorded songs at Abbey Road Studios.
